Analyst Position

Kobre & Kim consistently seeks exceptional candidates with the talent to deliver outstanding service that anticipates client needs.

The Analyst position is an excellent opportunity for recent college graduates or young professionals to gain substantive, hands-on experience in the fields of complex international civil and criminal financial litigation. Analysts immediately become key members of case teams, often working directly alongside or in collaboration with the firm's attorneys and enjoying levels of responsibility and client contact surpassing what other law firms offer. Analysts also support pro bono, knowledge management, and global business development to drive the firm's practice and product innovation forward. As an Analyst, you'll work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where your responsibilities adapt to the needs of each case team. This variety offers continual opportunities for learning and developing as a professional in the legal field.

Kobre & Kim offers two early career programs: Analyst and Litigation Assistant. Candidates may apply to only one program. Please review both job descriptions carefully and select the position that best aligns with your background, skills, and career goals before applying. Applications to both programs will not be considered.

This is a full-time role requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week. Candidates should submit a single application for the cohort they are eligible for and prefer to join based on their graduation date and availability to start on the target date of June 15, 2026. Applicants should not submit applications for both the January 2026 and June 2026 cohorts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Factual and financial analysis
  • Legal research
  • Drafting, proofing, and filing court documents
  • Document review and analysis
  • Project management and oversight of case team projects
  • Preparation for court appearances (including trials), client meetings and witness interviews

Analysts have opportunities for advancement after their first year, including transitioning to leadership roles, specializing in practice areas, and/or potentially transferring to other departments or offices worldwide. Compensation and benefits, including paid study leave, a language stipend, and a professional development stipend, are highly competitive with top-tier global consulting firms and local markets.

Our Analysts leave the role well-prepared for advanced academic and professional paths, including law school, business school, graduate studies or careers in consulting, finance, or investigations. The position also cultivates transferable skills such as problem-solving, time management and written and verbal communication. By working closely with fellow Analysts, Litigation Assistants, and attorneys, Analysts will gain a strong command of the practical and logistical foundations involved with legal work.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year university with a strong academic record (required)
  • Ability to work outside standard business hours as needed, including late nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on assignments (required)
  • Demonstrated excellent teamwork, communication, attention to detail, research and writing skills, and creative and anticipatory thinking skills
  • Strong work ethic, proactivity, and an ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional proficiency in one or more of the following languages is a plus: Arabic, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Korean, Chinese, Portuguese, Russian, or Spanish

For UK applicants only:

  • First or upper second-class honors at undergraduate level for UK universities.
  • Law degree or law conversion course preferred. Candidates from non-law backgrounds are also welcome, provided they can demonstrate knowledge of and/or a genuine interest in the English legal system.
  • While a strong grounding in the English legal system is important, Analysts will also contribute to cross-border matters and cases involving other jurisdictions, including the U.S.
  • Seeking qualifying work experience (QWE) under the SQE.
  • This program is not the equivalent of a Training Contract.

Required application materials include:

  • Resume/CV (include cumulative GPA and final/expected degree)
  • Cover letter
  • Unofficial academic transcript or documentation of academic performance
  • Two writing samples *

* Writing samples should be argumentative or research papers written for college coursework or independent projects. Each sample should be no more than 10 pages. Full papers (5-10 pages) or excerpts from longer works are acceptable.

All applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. We encourage early submission, as interview invitations may be extended before the application deadline. Applicants selected to interview will be contacted by email.

For questions or to notify us of a competing offer deadline, please contact AnalystRecruiting@kobrekim.com.

For U.S. locations only: At the time of posting, the base salary for this role is US $80,000 (minimum) – US $80,000 (maximum), based on a full-time work schedule. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary bonus. The successful candidate's actual salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, qualifications, training, skills, and market data.

While we try to accommodate office location preferences, final placement depends on available openings and firm business needs. Office transfer requests are considered after one year of employment.

Each office follows either a fully in-office or hybrid schedule based on jurisdiction. For example, our U.S. offices require employees be present at least 3 out of 5 business days per week. Office attendance requirements are set by firm leadership and/or client business needs.
