Controls Engineer
As a Controls Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and optimizing automated systems that enhance reliability, improve efficiency, and reduce downtime. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and ensure our systems meet the highest safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities
- Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
- Develop and implement automation solutions for both new and existing equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to identify and execute automation opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Maintain detailed documentation of software, schematics, and system changes.
- Train maintenance and operations staff on automated equipment.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for plant electrical and OT networked assets.
- Drives the highest levels of employee retention and engagement to ensure a sustainable workforce.

Qualifications
We're seeking a motivated professional with a strong technical background and a passion for innovation. If you have the following qualifications, we'd love to hear from you:
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in industrial automation or control systems.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
- Experience with HMI and SCADA systems.
- Strong understanding of industrial networks and communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
- Knowledge of machine safety and functional safety systems (SIL, ISO 13849).
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with robotics, vision systems, or IIoT platforms.
- Familiarity with MES systems and data integration.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or EPLAN for electrical design.
