KKR's Technology team is responsible for building and supporting the firm's technological foundation including a globally distributed infrastructure, information security, and application and data platforms. The team drives a culture of technology excellence across the firm through efficient workflow automation, democratization of data through modern data and collaboration platforms, and more recently through research and development of Generative AI based tools and services. Technology is regarded as a key business enabler at KKR and is an important accelerator to drive towards global scale creation and business process transformation. A dedicated Program Management function along with the Product Managers drive execution discipline across multiple technology teams with a goal to consistently deliver excellence serving our business needs. The Technology team consists of highly technical and business centric technologists with the ability to form strong partnerships across all of our businesses.

The Enterprise Systems Engineering team, part of KKR's Technology organization, is responsible for the design, delivery, and ongoing enhancement of the technology platforms that power key corporate functions, including Compliance, Legal, Internal Audit, Risk, Finance, Human Capital, Corporate Services & Real Estate and Employee Digital Experience. The team partners closely with functional leaders and stakeholders across the business to deeply understand evolving needs and deliver technology that drives measurable impact. We focus on: Implementing and customizing enterprise SaaS platforms and custom applications. Integrating systems across corporate domains to enable seamless data flow and automation. Ensuring platform stability, data integrity, and strong controls in support of compliance and audit requirements. Innovating around the employee digital experience to promote productivity, collaboration, and engagement across the firm. This is a highly collaborative and strategically positioned team, operating at the intersection of business process, technology architecture, and end-user experience. Joining this team means helping to shape the backbone of enterprise technology for a leading global investment firm.

We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Integration Lead to join our engineering team supporting the firm's Control Functions including Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Audit. This role is critical in bridging in-house engineering efforts and third-party SaaS platforms, enabling the delivery of cohesive, secure, and scalable technology solutions for stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in systems integration, enterprise architecture, data pipelines, and API management, with the ability to work cross-functionally across global product, data, infrastructure, and legal and compliance engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Integration Strategy & Architecture: Define and execute integration strategies for blending in-house developed systems with external SaaS platforms. Partner with solution architects and engineers to design secure, scalable, and maintainable integration patterns aligned with enterprise architecture. Map and manage system dependencies, integration points, and data flows across Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Audit platforms.
  • Engineering Leadership: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for systems integration across internal control function applications and external vendors. Build and maintain blueprints, sequence diagrams, and interface contracts. Lead build vs. buy analysis for middleware and integration technologies.
  • Delivery & Implementation: Own the end-to-end delivery of integrations: from business analysis and architecture through implementation, testing, and support. Coordinate with engineering teams and vendors to execute onboarding, data migration, and interface buildouts. Oversee integration testing strategy, exception handling, and system monitoring setup.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with product owners, control function stakeholders, and security teams to ensure solutions meet compliance, auditability, and risk management needs. Collaborate with enterprise data, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams to enforce governance standards.

Qualifications and Key Competencies:

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise systems integration, with a focus on solutions for legal, compliance, or risk domains
  • Strong hands-on experience in integrating platforms for Compliance and Legal workflows and solutions like – Compliance Regulatory, Surveillance, AML/KYC, Conflict tools and Legal Matter/Expense, CLM, Entity lifecycle tools and platforms
  • Proven success in integrating SaaS solutions into complex enterprise ecosystems
  • Deep expertise in enterprise systems architecture (e.g., ERP, GRC, financial systems, SaaS platforms)
  • Strong background in system integration patterns, APIs, data pipelines, and service-oriented architecture (SOA or microservices)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience working in regulated industries such as financial services or alternative asset management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models.
  • Experience with event-driven architecture or low-code/no-code integration platforms.
  • Promotes the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and encourages innovative problem-solving
  • Ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
