Tasks and Qualifications:

As a PLC Engineer, you will be the driving force behind modernization and upgrade projects of automated systems. You combine electrical engineering insight with software knowledge and customer orientation.

What you will do:

• Develop and implement hardware and software solutions for upgrades
• Provide 24/7 telephone support during on-call duty weeks (PLC-related)
• Perform electrical engineering design, programming, and commissioning
• Monitor project quality, deadlines, and budgets
• Professionally represent Dematic to customers
• Work on operational customer sites with minimal impact on their processes
• Analyze and solve system malfunctions, including corrective actions
• Act as site supervisor during project execution
• Support sales with cost calculations, concept development, and advice

Your Profile

You are an experienced engineer with a passion for automation and a keen eye for detail. You enjoy technical challenges and work well in a dynamic environment.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor or master in Electrical Engineering, Automation or similar
• Hands-on experience with control design and commissioning
• In-depth knowledge of Siemens S7 and TIA Portal
• Experience with fieldbus and network systems (Profibus, Profinet, ASi, TCP/IP)
• Familiarity with components such as barcode scanners, HMIs, VFDs
• Knowledge of industrial standards and regulations (including Machinery Directive)
• Fluent command of Dutch and English, spoken and written
