Position Overview: Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering (KIE) is seeking an experienced Civil CAD Designer to join our Digital Delivery and Civil Production team. You will be part of our rapidly growing Infrastructure Design Department, which includes roadway, drainage, utilities, structural, geotechnical, rail, and is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on the design-build delivery of infrastructure projects throughout the country.
Responsibilities: The candidate will be part of a design team responsible for delivering engineering solutions, which include the preparation of detailed plans and technical reports, that support heavy civil construction projects for Kiewit Construction Companies. This includes roadway, drainage, and utility design. Key responsibilities include:
Qualifications: Associate degree in computer-aided design, 3D modeling, drafting, surveying, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in CAD design and plan production for roadway, drainage, and utility projects. Proficient in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation (2D & 3D). Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint). Strong knowledge of Civil 3D, Bentley InRoads, Bentley OpenRoads Designer, and Revit preferred. Solid understanding of civil engineering principles and materials. Ability to interpret civil engineering drawings and identify discrepancies with attention to detail. Strong critical thinking and planning skills. Effective communication and collaboration abilities. Leadership experience strongly valued, but not a requirement. Experience working with AI agents and tools preferred.

Base Compensation: $73,000/yr - $92,000/yr (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
