Kiewit Equipment Services is hiring a Equipment Technology Technician to coordinate, prepare, assemble, and deploy heavy-equipment technology to projects nationwide. The technician will configure machine control and safety systems, install software, verify components, and manage asset tracking in digital systems. The role blends logistics management, technical setup, and process improvement to support the integration of advanced technologies into field operations. Candidate will work closely with project safety, survey and equipment teams throughout North America.
This position is based in our Fort Worth, TX shop.
• Manage inventory and organize technology kits for outbound delivery. • Verify, label, and document all components using digital tools and asset tracking software; maintain clean, accurate data. • Configure devices, install software, and perform basic functional checks prior to deployment. • Coordinate shipping schedules across departments to ensure on-time deliveries and rapid turns. • Support process-improvement and technology-adaptation initiatives, including ad-hoc modifications with CT Specialists. • Maintain orderly work areas, follow safety protocols, and protect equipment during handling/transport. • Travel occasionally (<20%) for deployments, training, or site support. • 1–3 years in logistics, inventory coordination, or equipment technology. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; reliable, self-directed, and adaptable in a fast-paced setting. • Technical aptitude: experience with software installation and device setup (preferred). • Strict attention to the details • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and basic data/asset systems. • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; collaborates effectively across functions. • Ability to lift/move packages up to ~50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
