Advanced Direct Support Professional

Keystone Human Services is currently seeking Advanced Direct Support Professionals to join our team in providing individualized, person-directed support in the areas of intellectual disabilities, mental health, and autism. Our work focuses on inclusion and building communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and fully participate in everything society has to offer.

As an Advanced Direct Support Professional, you will support adults by creating a healthy and engaging home setting, teaching and assisting with daily living skills, assisting with personal care, and advocating for the health and wellness of the people we support. This position may administer medications, perform delegated nursing tasks, monitor health conditions under the supervisor of a nurse, and respond to emergencies following protocols and implementing behavior support plans. The Advanced Direct Support Professional supports individuals with a high level of need as defined by clinical and/or health care assessments.

Job Details:

  • Full time, Part time, and Casual positions available
  • $20.75 per hour

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year work experience supporting individuals with either challenging medical needs and/or behaviors or dual diagnosis of intellectual disability and mental health
  • Effective communication and proficient computer skills
  • Successfully complete and maintain all required certifications and training mandated by regulations and additional specialized medical and/or behavioral health trainings necessary
  • Valid driver's license and, depending on work location, may be required to have daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle
  • Successful completion of the pre-employment process, including clearances and verifications
