Role Overview

The Cloud FinOps Practitioner/Analyst is a key member of our Cloud Centre of Excellence, responsible for driving financial accountability, cost optimization, and operational maturity across AWS. The role blends financial insight, cloud expertise, and stakeholder engagement to guide value-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Report on AWS cloud costs to leadership and product stakeholders.
• Produce monthly savings reports against budget, including savings plans and Compute Reserved Instances (CRI) tracker.
• Monitor spend trends, detect anomalies, and support remediation.
• Lead FinOps maturity sessions and track practice development.
• Provide cost estimates for new initiatives to support business decisions.
• Promote tagging standards to ensure accurate AWS cost allocation and reporting.
• Highlight cost drivers and recommend optimization opportunities.
• Provide visibility into savings plan expiries and support decision-making.
• Maintain a stakeholder map to clarify points of contact for cloud cost management.
• Stay current with AWS pricing changes, industry developments, and FinOps best practices.
