The individual is responsible for:

• The development of strategic sourcing plans to improve competitive position to achieve business goals
• Collaboration with business stakeholders and category managers in the establishment and execution of sourcing strategies
• Supplier relationship management for the local suppliers

Key responsibilities include:

• Working with regional and global category lead to support India local business needs on Marketing & Sales Procurement requirements
• Working with business and other support functions to fully understand business needs and search / develop / select reliable suppliers to deliver on those needs
• Analyzing, understanding and interpreting market dynamics and drivers, supplier capacity and constraints, quantity leverage, regional regulations and best sourcing practices
• Sourcing and running competitive bidding process for designated spend areas in line with the Global / Regional Strategy for a given category or area of spend
• In charge of negotiations in line with category strategy
• Effectively utilizing procurement processes and procedures to achieve procurement functional goals and corporate governance requirements, whilst delivering business needs
• Identifying repetitive buys as candidates for frame contracts and/or catalogues. Directing country requisitions to frame contracts and/or catalogues where available
• Delivering individual annual savings & net cost change targets
• Establishing good working relationship with functional stakeholders
• Ensuring that all relevant contractual documentation is handled as per the defined Contract Management Process
• Identifying non added value processes or administrative work and suggesting improvements
• Working with operations, supply chain, quality and other functions to ensure suppliers deliver high performance levels

Required qualifications:

• The candidate must have a post graduate degree in business management
• The candidate must be fluent, both written and speaking, in English
• Total procurement experience of 10+ years
• Prior experience of handling marketing categories like media or creative agencies in a consumer industry is preferred
• Prior experience of handling procurement tools like Keelvar & Malbek is preferred
