We have a great opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join our business on a 12-month fixed term contract, covering a maternity leave. Working within the Marketing Team you will be responsible for leading the Haircare portfolio in Northern Europe, including OGX®, AVEENO® Hair, NEUTROGENA® T/GEL® and REGAINE®, reporting to the Skin Health & Haircare Director. You will be coaching and developing a team of three as line manager, while leading a cross-functional team to execute plans with excellence.
Location: Reading, Berkshire (hybrid working)
What you will do:
- Drive growth of the Haircare portfolio across the Northern Europe Cluster
- Full accountability to deliver the in-year full P&L and share targets, as well as shaping Northern Europe Yr2-Yr3 plans in partnership with regional/global teams.
- You will lead the UK Haircare Squad (cross-functional team), while also supporting local Ireland & Nordics market teams.
- You will be responsible for driving excellence in execution for your brands across Northern Europe (including integrated business planning, media, Influencer & PR, perfect store, revenue growth management and joint business planning with customers)
- Collaborate with local Commercial teams to address challenges, drive opportunities and build differentiated plans to unlock category growth with key retail partners.
- Use analytical skills to shape and size commercial and innovation opportunities
- Develop and coach a direct team, also lead the cross functional Squad working in close collaboration with the Squad Director.
Experience required:
- Experienced at Marketing Manager level with a strong track record of performance in a matrixed organization.
- Degree level educated or equivalent experience and brand management experience in an FMCG environment. (Haircare / skincare / beauty expertise preferred but not essential).
- People management experience essential, with past responsibility for coaching and developing teams.
- Experience developing, adapting and activating content & communication plans, including media strategy and deployment, data driven marketing, influence & PR.
- Experience working in the UK market with a deep understanding of UK customers and the retail landscape.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including P&L development.
