Structural Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated structural engineer to manage, design, and detail building structures. The successful candidate will select structural systems, conceptualize framing, perform necessary analyses and design calculations, develop construction drawings and specifications, self-perform drafting and written texts, and review both shop drawings and contractors' work during construction.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the design and detailing of building structures.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in structural design and engineering.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and RAM or RISA analysis software.
  • Engineering design skills in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
  • Ability to produce construction documents (drawings and specifications).
  • Bachelor or Master of Science Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • EIT license and on track for PE License.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience, including at least an internship with building design.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in civil engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred for remote work eligibility.
  • Flexibility to work from multiple locations, including fully remote if PE certified.

Work Environment:

The role is based in Lexington, KY, with the option to work in the Louisville office or on a flexible schedule in KY. A fully remote work setup is available for candidates with a PE certification, preferably in surrounding states. The office environment is collaborative, and employees have the opportunity to work on multiple projects. The position includes generous benefits such as 3 weeks PTO plus holiday pay, profit sharing/bonuses, paid continuing education, and support for licensing efforts. There is potential for relocation support and opportunities for career advancement, including opening new offices.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, KY.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
