Insight Global is currently seeking a Service Technician for a direct hire opportunity with a large material handling company in the Louisville, KY area. The Service Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing material handling equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role involves diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and responding promptly to service requests. The technician works independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality service, maintain accurate records of work performed, and uphold industry standards. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer satisfaction are essential for success in this position. Experience in material handling or automotive industries such as car dealerships, auto body shops, or production and manufacturing environments is preferred but not required. This is a full-time permanent role with an incredibly employee focused manufacturing company in the Louisville area.

Skills and Requirements:

• 2+ years of hands on experience servicing material handling or heavy equipment (forklifts—electric and internal combustion, reach trucks, order pickers, etc.)
• Proficiency across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems (AC/DC circuits, CAN bus, sensors, controllers, batteries/chargers)
• Ability to read schematics and service manuals and use diagnostic tools
• Experience with material handling or automotive industries such as car dealerships, auto body shops, or production and manufacturing environments
• Certifications or education
• Experience with OSHA practices
