Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of life-saving electromechanical products. This role involves defining product specifications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring product definitions align with market research and user feedback.

Responsibilities:

• Lead mechanical design, development, and validation of life-saving electromechanical products.
• Define product specifications including objectives, features, cost, and deadlines based on project requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clear, achievable product definitions aligned with market research and user feedback.
• Develop and validate new products with input from product management, development, sales, and operations.
• Create testing protocols, design experiments, and oversee evaluation of systems and components.
• Analyze and present test and product evaluation data.

Essential Skills:

• Background in personal protective equipment impacting comfort, impact protection, or breathing systems.
• Proficiency in engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Strong mechanical/mechatronics engineering; injection-molded plastics preferred.
• Experience with SolidWorks, FEA, CFD, and failure mode analysis.
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability and Assembly and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; team-oriented and self-driven.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• B.S. in an Engineering discipline.
• 5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering of new products or related fields.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Permanent position based out of Lexington, KY.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.

Workplace Type:

This is a fully onsite position in Lexington, KY.
