Oracle Health is dedicated to transforming healthcare by driving innovation, operational efficiency, and better outcomes through world-class technology. Our teams power the next wave of cloud- and AI-driven solutions that improve patient care, streamline provider workflows, and modernize health systems globally. We are seeking a Senior Software Director to lead our AI engineering efforts across healthcare reimbursement, patient accounting, and revenue cycle management (RCM). This is a deeply technical, hands-on role: you will architect, design, and guide the implementation of AI agents and agentic workflows—not just oversee them. You will own the strategy and delivery of AI/ML-enabled solutions, partnering closely with product, architecture, and domain experts to transform complex payer–provider processes into intelligent, automated systems. This role is critical to driving innovation, optimizing healthcare financial performance, and accelerating digital transformation across the health-tech landscape.
Leadership and strategy: Define and drive the AI engineering vision, roadmap, and technical standards for Oracle Health's reimbursement and patient accounting portfolio, with a strong focus on LLM-powered agents and automation.
Hands-on AI agent architecture: Lead the architecture and design of AI agents and multi-agent systems that orchestrate complex RCM workflows (claims processing, charge capture, revenue integrity, denial management, and follow-up). Review and contribute to design docs, system diagrams, and critical code paths as needed.
AI/ML solution delivery: Oversee end-to-end delivery of scalable AI/ML solutions, including data pipelines, model integration, inference services, and agent orchestration, ensuring they are robust, observable, and ready for production in high-compliance healthcare environments.
Cross-functional collaboration: Partner closely with Product, UX, Platform, Security, and Domain teams, as well as external healthcare customers and partners, to translate real-world RCM problems into well-scoped, agent-powered solutions.
Team development: Build, mentor, and grow high-performing engineering teams. Set clear technical expectations, promote strong engineering practices, and create a culture of experimentation, ownership, and continuous learning around AI and agents.
Innovation: Champion research, prototyping, and adoption of emerging AI/ML and agentic technologies (LLMs, tools, retrieval, reasoning, and workflow orchestration) to keep Oracle Health at the forefront of RCM automation.
Governance and compliance: Ensure all AI solutions meet stringent security, privacy, and regulatory requirements (HIPAA and related standards). Partner with compliance and legal teams to define safe, auditable AI patterns for healthcare.
Operational excellence: Drive engineering quality, reliability, and performance through strong SDLC practices, agile execution, monitoring/alerting, incident management, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder management: Communicate strategy, progress, risks, and opportunities to executive leadership and key stakeholders. Provide clear, data-driven updates and tradeoff discussions on AI initiatives and agent-based solutions.
