Quality Systems Engineer

We are seeking a Quality Systems Engineer responsible for maintaining IATF / ISO 9001 compliance and conducting audit activities. This role involves developing and implementing quality documentation, analyzing SPC data, and resolving out-of-spec issues through root cause analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and control quality documentation, control plans, and specifications.
• Analyze SPC data, monitor capability, and resolve out-of-spec issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with engineering and production on quality standards and process improvements.
• Oversee process audits, inspections, and disposition of nonconforming material.
• Participate in APQP, capability studies, and gauge R&R analysis.
• Manage supplier quality requirements and compliance.
• Prepare and report quality KPIs and performance metrics.
• Support customer quality requirements and satisfaction initiatives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and quality training efforts.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and legal requirements.

Essential Skills:

• Experience in quality engineering, IATF, and ISO 9001.
• Proficiency in root cause analysis and data analysis.
• Capability in IATF / ISO 9001 Lead Auditing.
• Experience with SPC & Statistical Data Analysis.
• Knowledge of APQP, Control Plans, Capability Studies & Gage R&R.
• Experience in Manufacturing Process Quality.
• Supplier & Customer Quality Management expertise.
• Continuous Improvement, Audit, Compliance, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma.
• Understanding of Total Quality System and Quality Management System.
• Document control experience.

• Interest in professional growth and taking on future leadership roles.
• Flexibility, teamwork, and interaction with all areas in manufacturing, engineering, and document control.
• Ability to verify part dimensions using engineering drawings/specifications.
• Physical ability to lift 40-50 lbs as needed.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Permanent position based out of Bowling Green, KY.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
