The IES Data Center Network Engineering team plays a critical role in maintaining a robust and highly available infrastructure that span US and global centers for both IES and OHAI environments. The team's responsibilities span across core routing and switching, advanced fabric technologies, and network automation, while also managing monitoring, security, and lifecycle management of hardware and software. One of the team's core priorities is the migration of Cerner and OHAI tenants to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). To support this, the Data Center Engineering group requires experienced specialized Network Development Engineers who possess both deep architectural knowledge and extensive migration experience. Ensuring Site UP is the top priority, we are laser focused on ensuring site reliability, performance, and security while leading migration efforts to the next generation cloud infrastructure.

Extensive professional experience engineering solutions and supporting carrier grade, IP based ISP, Web scale, and data center network environments. Apply expertise in Virtual Cloud Network technologies (OCI, Azure, AWS, GCS, etc). Demonstrated progressive increase in role specific responsibilities and associated complexities. Expert level experience with internet routing protocols and concepts, including but not limited to IP, BGP, iBGP, EGP, MPLS, IS-IS, OSPF, IPSEC, & NAT. Maintain advanced knowledge of IP addressing, CIDR, and RFC 1918 strategy and implementation best practices. Utilize developed level automation experience including proficiency in a combination of Python, Ansible, Chef, Docker, JSON, REST and YAML. Demonstrate superior knowledge of Layer 4-7 protocols including TCP, UDP, SMB, RCP, TLS, SSL, HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, SNMP, SMTP, and SSH. Expert level acumen with Network life cycle management (LCM) programs including an ability to create and maintain detailed technical documentation of network and cloud system designs, configurations, and methods of procedure. Operational experience with GIT/Dev Ops based version control systems including foundational knowledge with branching, merge/pull requests concepts. Demonstrated ability to perform protocol and packet analysis of traffic flows including HTTP, HTTPS communications. Bring level experience in capacity management, traffic engineering, and performance optimization. Familiarity with system monitoring concepts and ability to define key performance indicators and thresholds for new services.
Agile methodologies and Scrum. Linux/Unix environment. Incident-to-Problem workflow automation and reporting. CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure projects. Grafana for monitoring and analytics. Network change and release management. IP network management tools (IP Control, Blue Cat, IPAM). Define and measure OKRs, KPIs, OLAs, and SLAs.
