Physical Requirements: This position requires regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; intermittently performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); occasionally lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00am- 5:00pm; As an exempt level position, evenings, nights, and weekends may be required to meet departmental needs.
The Perioperative Scheduling Operations Manager directs and provides oversight for all centralized surgery scheduling, procedural scheduling for Endoscopy and Interventional Radiology across the UK Enterprise. This position also serves the Endoscopy's Division of Gastroenterology scheduling at the Lexington Surgery Center. The primary focus of this role is on schedule management specifically areas of productivity, access and opportunities maximizing block utilization. Building and maintaining service blocks and operational schedule management of allocated block time in each respected area. This role will facilitate reporting and distribution of key reports to PMT and department chief and chair stakeholders. Manager holds direct reports accountable for managing the appropriate human resources, staffing structure and that resource affiliates are available.
