Pay Rate: Up to $45 - $55/hr.

Job Responsibilities

Position Summary: The position of Manufacturing Engineer will be a leader and mentor in both technical skills and Ruger's core values, such as teamwork, quality, and servant leadership, all while implementing LEAN manufacturing principles on our production floor. This position requires a motivated self-starter with knowledge in multi-axis Swiss style lathes that does not require daily direction to meet production goals.

1. Manage multiple projects and assignments.
2. Set up and develop efficient and capable Swiss Style Lathe manufacturing processes for Ruger products to include tooling selection.
3. Implement production quality systems and gauging methods.
4. Develop machining and assembly processes including Swiss style CNC.
5. Program CNC Swiss machines using G & M-Code, CAM programming.
6. Implement working knowledge of GD&T principles to assure that the fundamentals of work holding, machining and gage control will meet the required design intent.
7. Coordinate with tooling and equipment sources internally and externally during development and validation of manufacturing processes.
8. Drive standardization throughout the Ruger Hebron factory by use of core competency teams, benchmarking, process standards and equipment checklists.
9. Support companies LEAN manufacturing initiatives.

Software/Tools Used:

• Solidworks
• Mastercam

Might consider talent with other icon based software experience but prefer the Solidworks and Mastercam above all else.
