Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as an IT User Support Intern. In this role, college students will work under limited supervision, assisting our onsite Pitstop Team with day-to-day technical support to employees for a range of hardware and software-related systems. They will assist with diagnosing low- to medium-complexity problems through discussion with users, including troubleshooting, fault rectification, and problem escalation. They will provide adequate and timely resolution of users' issues, queries, or complaints.
This position is located onsite at Valvoline Headquarters in Lexington, KY, with a Monday through Friday schedule.
Assist with troubleshooting of end user computing issues, including, but not limited to, MS Office products, Windows 10/11, W365, Teams, and conference room technologies.
Assist in the health and maintenance of application environments as related to client computers, Citrix, Active Directory, and enterprise print.
Assist with the software packaging and PC Windows image, including deployments/upgrades related to software and operating systems.
Assist with deploying applications and maintaining SCCM, InTune, and MDM infrastructure.
Assist as directed with tracking IT assets/software licensing to maintain accurate records to keep Valvoline in compliance for security and accounting purposes.
Assist with ensuring assets are retired/refreshed in a timely manner.
Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.
Must be pursuing a degree in Information Technology, CIS, or a comparable major
Basic project management skills
Basic technical background in IT End User Support and PC Technologies
Strong customer service skills
Ability to learn and adapt quickly, learning new technologies
Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer
