The Forming Process Engineer will transfer new technologies and processes from development to manufacturing production lines. The role focuses on advancing Forming technology and fundamental understanding, expanding capability, and ensuring repeatability across production lines while providing technical expertise to address manufacturing challenges.
B.S. or equivalent in an engineering discipline and 0-3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong scientific and engineering skills for fundamental understanding, including broad knowledge of engineering principles (heat transfer, physics, mechanics, and material properties). Use of the scientific method to solve problems thoroughly and effectively. Experience in design of experiments and data analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Cultural awareness and willingness to work with a globally dispersed team. Strong multitasking and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment. Ability to handle ambiguity, changing priorities and changing requirements.
Job is based in Harrodsburg, KY, USA. Expect 25% domestic and global travel.
Full time (40 hours per week), but great flexibility required given the globally dispersed nature of the team and aggressive project timelines. Teleconferences are likely during early morning or evening hours. Night/weekend flexibility is expected during process startup activity.
This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $70,776.00 - $97,317.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
