Overview: Assist engineers and management in engineering planning and design of electric distribution system expansion and maintenance.
• Meet with customers to determine their electrical service needs.
• Prepare or assist in preparation of field layouts of routine jobs; such as staking, sketching, inventories, estimates, work request preparation and materials utilizing company work management and graphical design tools
• Make, or assist in making, routine technical surveys or analyses; such as load balance or voltage drop calculations
• Inspect work for conformance to drawings and specifications
• Acquire or assist in the acquisition of distribution easements
• Perform surveying and general transit work
• Settle damage claims pertaining to construction and rebuilding of lines
• Prepare engineering drawings from work prints and field notes
• Perform and assist technical employees with routine engineering duties in office,
• Assist, as necessary, in storm restoration
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards
**Required Education and Experience** Associate degree in technical discipline such as electrical engineering or design drafting, or a High School Diploma and a minimum of two years working in a utility industry, technical industry or engineering industry.
**Preferred Experience** Knowledge of electric delivery system, construction standards, materials and equipment, basic math, algebra and trigonometry functions. Above average interpersonal relations, communication, organizing and analytical skills and fully competent computer knowledge.
