The Electrical Engineer at Fortna is a key member of the Electrical Engineering team, responsible for overseeing the design and documentation of electrical controls deliverables for Fortna's Material Handling Systems. The ideal candidate has significant experience and background in Electrical Engineering / design and is experienced and/or capable of providing leadership and direction to the Electrical Engineering project team during project implementation. Leadership tasks shall be aligned with Fortna's Integrated Design Methodology to ensure successful project implementation. This role requires design tasks direction utilizing standard design tools to provide high quality electrical designs in support of Clients' needs.
4-year engineering degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar engineering program) from an accredited college plus 3-5 years of relevant work experience
Conveyor control process experience (photoeyes, solenoids, variable frequency drive, line scanner, print and apply application)
Knowledge of and ability to work with and manage multiple suppliers
Ability to work effectively on a team and support high levels of performance
Advanced collaboration and communication skills (written and verbal communication)
Experience working with MS Project and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience in standard design of relevant material handling equipment for position
Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Promis-e, or E-Plan for electrical design
Flexible and approachable
Ability to self-motivate
Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
Ability to travel domestically and internationally in support of our projects
Ability to perform essential functions of the job
Desired Qualifications:
The base salary range for this role is $76,100 to $114,200. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
