Catering Sales Coordinator

The Catering Sales Coordinator manages client relationships and coordinates sales processes for events, acting as a liaison between clients and internal teams to plan and execute catering services, including menu selection, event logistics, and contract creation. Key duties involve responding to inquiries, generating proposals, coordinating with culinary and event staff, and ensuring client satisfaction by overseeing food preparation, setup, and cleanup.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Communication & Sales: Respond to catering inquiries, welcome and greet clients, and serve as their primary point of contact.
  • Proposal & Contract Development: Create customized proposals and contracts for clients, detailing menu options, logistics, and costs.
  • Menu Planning & Coordination: Work with culinary and event teams to develop menus, incorporating client requests and ensuring high-quality food and service.
  • Event Logistics: Coordinate event details such as equipment, rentals, decorations, and staffing to ensure smooth execution.
  • Internal Liaison: Collaborate with Event Managers, Food Operations, and Culinary teams to ensure all client requirements are met.
  • Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate client records, process payments, enter event details into sales software, and prepare reports.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Address client concerns, ensure timely delivery and setup of food, and follow up to guarantee satisfaction.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication to interact effectively with clients and staff.
  • Customer Service: A friendly and courteous demeanor, with the ability to anticipate and address client needs.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain records, and organize timelines for events.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in office software like Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as event management and sales software.
  • Hospitality Experience: A background in hospitality, event planning, or culinary arts is often beneficial.
