Information Technology (It) Support & Public Communications Management
The Madison County Health Department is accepting applications for a full-time Information Technology (IT) Support & Public Communications Management position.
General duties include: This position serves under the limited direction of the IT Manager and the Public Health Director. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Provides technical assistance support for staff and assists in problem determination and resolution to network equipment or software. Provides hardware support and site preparation functions for the network.
- Responsible for planning and implementing a system backup and recovery program. Maintains appropriate records and documentation. Use expertise to advise on selection, purchase, and setup of computer hardware and software. Remains current with scientific, educational, and medical developments related to information systems technology and the use of that technology.
- Interprets and analyzes information from network management software, health department programmatic data, and creates a dashboard documenting program performance data for program evaluation and reporting.
- Provides or coordinates staff training and maintenance of agency computer equipment and systems. Train the health department staff on the use of computer hardware and software.
- Communication Management related: communicates effectively in writing and orally, including documentation, recordkeeping and correspondence. Responsible for helping oversee and maintain social media, website, and publications.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Education, Training or Experience
Graduate of a college/university with a Bachelor's degree. Minimum of two years of systems support experience is preferred.
Experience
Must have two (2) years of professional systems support experience is preferred.
Starting Salary Range: $28 - $34 per hour. Salary is contingent on relevant work history and education and must be included to be considered in the starting rate of pay.
Typical Working Conditions and Unique Physical Requirements
- Work typically is performed in office setting.
