Applications Engineer – Kennametal

We are looking for an Applications Engineer to join our team in Monterrey. This position will be responsible for providing technical support and engineering applications to customers, working closely with sales and operations teams to optimize manufacturing processes and maximize the performance of Kennametal products.

Principal Responsibilities

• Provide specialized technical support to customers in machining and manufacturing applications.
• Analyze production processes and recommend optimal cutting tools and application solutions.
• Conduct on-site technical tests, demonstrations, and validations at the plant and customer site.
• Train customers and internal teams on products, applications, and best practices.
• Collaborate with the sales team for the development of technical proposals and support in key projects.
• Document results, process improvements, and customer savings.
• Stay updated on new technologies, products, and market trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• Previous experience as an Applications Engineer, Process Engineer, or similar technical roles (preferably in manufacturing or machining).
• Solid knowledge of machining processes, cutting tools, CNC, and materials.
• Intermediate to advanced English (capable of maintaining technical conversations).
• Availability to travel within the region.
• Communication, analytical, and customer-focused skills.
