Under the supervision of the Youth Services Clinicians the Youth Services Case Manager provides direct services and case management to Severely Emotionally Disturbed (SED) un'ina enrolled in the program. In addition, the Case Manager provides guidance, mentoring and supervision to the Individual Skill Providers assigned to un'inas in the Case Manager's service area. This position is responsible to comply with Federal, State, agency, and program policies and procedures regarding confidentiality, service provision, and documentation. Under the direction of the BH Youth Services Supervisor and in partnership with co-workers, the Case Manager will develop and facilitate summer activities for the Youth Services Summer Program.

Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of forces greater than that of sedentary work and if the worker sits most of the time, the job is considered light work.
Category II - Normal routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluid or tissue, but exposure or potential for exposure may occur.

Drives KIT or Personal Vehicle: May be required to drive personal vehicle to and from additional work meeting sites. May be required to drive a KIT vehicle to transport clients.
Travel: Local, In-State, Out-of-State
Education: B.A. in Mental Health related field preferred or a combination of education and experience in a related field may be substituted for a degree
Experience: Minimum age of 25, Four to five years of experience providing direct services to SED youth, Four to five years of experience in case management, A minimum of one year experience supervising others preferred
Preferred: Knowledge and experience working with cultural diversities, College courses or training related to child development, psychology, or education, Experience working with Severely Emotionally Disturbed youth
License/Certification: Must have a valid Alaska State driver's license and must remain insurable under the Tribe's policy, or obtain within 90 days of hire, or, with approval of the hiring manager, sign a *Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in lieu of having a driver's license to perform the required duties of the position (If Applicable)
Special Skills: Knowledge of behavioral and emotional problems in youth, FASD, and mental and physical disabilities affecting clients, Good oral and written communication skills, Knowledge of community resources for youth and families, Understanding of the effects of domestic violence, child abuse and neglect on youth, Conducts business in a service-oriented manner that is attentive, pleasant, respectful and kind when dealing with un'ina, visitors, co-workers and others, Must be computer literate, Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, Must type a minimum of 30 words per minute
This position is a Covered Position subject to all requirements of the Alaska Barrier Crimes Act (ABCA) and to the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act, (ICPA). ABCA and ICPA requirements apply and must be complied with at all times in order to remain in the position.
