About the Role As the Manager of Data Engineering, you will lead a team responsible for architecting, building and maintaining the data infrastructures and pipelines that support analytics, reporting and machine learning initiatives across the company. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, engineers and business stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver scalable, high-quality solutions. This role requires strong technical leadership, expertise in modern data technologies and the ability to drive strategic direction for the data engineering function.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team of data engineers and data analysts.
• Define and communicate the strategic vision for data infrastructure that enables self-service analytics and accelerates time to insight
• Oversee the design and development of scalable data pipelines to ingest, transform and deliver high-quality data from various sources
• Implement data quality frameworks, monitoring systems and validation processes to ensure accuracy, consistency and reliability
• Partner with data scientists, analysts and software engineers to design and implement complex data models and analytical solutions
• Guide the development and automation of data processing workflows
• Maintain hands on technical proficiency to accurately assess task complexity, review code and validate time estimates
• Drive performance management processes including goal setting, feedback cycles and performance improvement plans when needed
• Foster a culture of transparency where team members surface risks and delays early
• Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate technical concepts and deliver actionable, data-driven insights
• Drive continuous improvement, operational excellence and innovation within the Data Engineering team
