Job Summary
The MCT Sr. Logistics Support Specialist is responsible for formulating logistical plans, policies, and procedures essential for providing comprehensive support in supply, transportation, maintenance, and services within the logistics field. Coordinates with Customs and various governments for Customs Clearance and diplomatic Clearance requests for equipment and cargo movement. Assists customers to ensure desired logistics objectives, priorities, and schedules are met. Coordinates with Environmental, Safety, and other Shared Services functional areas as appropriate in regard to logistical functions performed under contract. In this role you will be involved in ensuring the accurate preparation of documents, maintaining and organizing records both manually and electronically, reviewing schedules, maintaining transportation schedules and submitting diplomatic Clearance Requests for equipment and cargo movement.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Collaborate with military personnel and MCT members for the delivery and receipt of equipment, leveraging commercial, military and company assets.
• Ensure correct preparation of documents related to equipment movement.
• Maintain and compile records manually and electronically.
• Review schedules and confer with others to determine requirements, identify overdue material, and track material movement.
• Uphold the daily situation report (SITREPS) for both military and KBR.
• Submit diplomatic Clearance Requests for equipment and cargo movement.
• Provide a strong level of professional customer service.
• Follow daily written/verbal instructions and perform well under pressure and time constraints.
• Work with little to no direct supervision when required.
• Interface professionally with Military/Government Clients, Kellogg Brown & Root management, and employees.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
• Knowledgeable in proper planning and coordination for logistics operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid vehicle driver's license and maintain its validity for the duration of employment.
• Detail oriented, analytical, able to accurately identify, assess, and solve transportation issues.
• Must be able to provide a strong level of customer service along with excellent telephonic communication skills while maintaining COMSEC (Communication Security), OPSEC (Operation Security), and COMPSEC (Computer Security).
• Must possess a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Power Point.
• Fluency in Albanian and possessing an unrestricted right to work and reside in Kosovo.
• Advanced in English proficiency: Must be able to speak, read, and write in English at an advanced level.
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
• Experience with US Army Automated Transportation Systems (TC-AIMS II).
• Experience in US military logistics environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Transportation Traffic Management background and experience.
• Knowledge of UMD (Unit Movement Data) collection, processing, and reporting requirements.
• Knowledge and Familiarization with HAZMAT materials shipping requirements.
• Knowledge of Transportation Traffic Management in the European/USAREUR theater of operations.
• Knowledge and experience with container management responsibilities and functions.
• Experience with Movement Control Team (MCT).
