Craig Customer Service / Freight Agent

Customer service agents are responsible for the transference of mail/freight to and from aircraft to Craig office and delivered to the outlying area. Assisting with the loading and unloading of aircraft. Maintaining freight equipment. Keeping work areas clean/organized. Other tasks as needed or requested.

Applicants must clear a pre-employment background check.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

• Help launch aircraft
• Assist in loading and unloading aircraft
• Acceptance of freight and proper storage
• Ability to identify and properly handle hazardous material
• Assure aircraft are secured when docked
• Keep freight room, docks, mail van and building areas clean
• Sorting, tracking and delivery of packages to the local area
• Customer service representatives for Taquan Air in Craig
• Assist pilots in docking / turning out aircraft
• Maintain daily communication with Ketchikan dispatchers
• Keep grounds and facilities in a clean and professional condition
• Report all hazards or safety concerns to a supervisor as soon as possible
• Duties are not limited to the ones above, effort on the employees' part to recognize things needing to be done and accomplishing them is also the employee's responsibility.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid drivers license and clean driving record
• No criminal convictions
• Minimum 21 years old

Physical Abilities Required:

• Physically fit
• Able to lift / move heavy items
• Work in inclement weather
• Clean / neat appearance
• Work well with others
• Punctual
