Karolinska Institutet is world-renowned for its research and education in odontology and dental care. At Campus Flemingsberg, the latest technology is available. Here we educate dental hygienists, dentists, specialist dentists, researchers, and have Complementary Education for Dentists, CED. In 2023, our dental program was ranked number five on a list of the world's universities. Most of the students' clinical education takes place at one of the University Dental Care's six dental clinics. At the Department of Odontology, both the theoretical part and cutting-edge research are conducted.

The administrative department works to provide professional and effective support to the core activities and management functions. The department consists of 16 employees divided into four units: finance, HR, IT, and service and maintenance.

Your Role

We are looking for someone who has a strong interest in both strategic and operational HR work and who thrives in a consulting and developing role.

As an HR-Chief, you are responsible for driving qualified HR work, both operationally and strategically, in close collaboration with the unit's employees. Together you will advise managers and develop processes, working methods, and routines within the entire HR area.

The HR-Chief is responsible for contributing to a long-term sustainable skills supply, as well as ensuring professional and activity-close HR support to core activities and management. In your role as HR-Chief, you ensure that employer responsibilities are maintained through qualified managerial support in labor law, agreements, and HR regulations. At the same time, you strengthen the awareness of personnel issues throughout the organization.

Your main duties also include developing and maintaining a positive personnel policy, supporting managers and leadership in questions of leadership and salary setting, driving collaboration issues and good dialogue with trade union parties, and ensuring a structured and systematic work environment.

In the role of HR-Chief, you have budget, personnel, and operational responsibility and report to the administrative chief.

• University education with a focus on HR and leadership
• Documented experience of several years of HR work within a university/college
• Documented experience of management

• Experience of HR work within dental care operations

You have an easy ability to build good relationships and work towards common goals, with an understanding of the different needs and conditions of the activities.

As a leader, you are prestigious and solution-focused with the ability to switch between strategic and operational issues. In your role as a leader, you have a strong ability to collaborate and communicate clearly in both speech and writing.
