Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the general direction of the Director of Perioperative Services, provides nursing leadership for assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care of assigned area(s). The manager assists the Director of Perioperative Services in planning, directing, and managing the preadmission testing, pre-operative, operative, and post-operative staff to assure quality service to the hospital on a 24-hour basis. Collaborates with physicians and other departments to meet patient and family needs. Manages resources in a fiscally responsible manner. Supports the hospital mission in accordance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications include graduation from school of nursing, currently licensed as a registered professional nurse, certification in area of specialty, excellent communication, computer, organizational, and leadership skills, and two years clinical nursing experience.
