Hazardous Materials Remediation Specialist

Provides hazardous materials remediation services for numerous iSi customers in accordance with applicable regulations and in a manner that will meet facility required production rates.

Position Responsibilities

- Perform hazardous materials remediation projects including tank cleaning, heavy metal dusting, hexavalent chromium cleaning, paint booth cleaning and maintenance, machine cleaning, etc.

- Perform multi-tasked remediation projects where the employee may be exposed to dust, volatile organic materials, asbestos, mold, and lead.

- Perform powerwashing activities.

- Clean up trash and debris.

- Operate a variety of lift trucks safely, including forklift, scissor lift, boom lift.

- Operate hand and power tools safely including jack hammers, power chisels, and power washers.

- Support other projects within the Industrial Services Department.

- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

- Perform decontamination activities, such as cleaning the respirator.

- Ensure proper functioning of, clean, and maintain PPE.

- Comply with safety policies and procedures.

- Assist with asbestos, lead, and mold removal when necessary.

- Provide additional support as needed.
