Carpenter Job Opportunity

As a carpenter, you'll embody this approach while performing tasks involving rough and finish carpentry on a job site.
Service work including wall framing, drywall, painting, cabinet/millwork installation, flooring, door and hardware installation/repair, caulking and sealants, etc. Wall framing, sheetrock finishing, and acoustical ceiling grid ability is required. Other skills will be taught through on-the-job experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Maintain tools and equipment.
- Layout accurately, using a framing square, plumb bob, level and/or lasers.
- Complete rough and finish carpentry tasks.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with clients on-site.
- Safely operate power tools associated with carpentry or other miscellaneous tasks.
- Prioritize safety protocols and use protective gear.
- Keep accurate records of work performed.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly.
- Complete any other tasks assigned by your supervisor.
- Although, not that common, night and/or weekend work will be planned in advance and sometimes required.
- Technician will be required to participate in an on-call rotation where you will be assigned approximately 2-3 weeks throughout the year (one week at a time).
Repairs and Maintenance:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair issues.
- Fix broken fixtures, doors, windows, and other building components.
- Proactively inspect equipment and building systems in order to make repairs.
Remodeling Projects:
- Work closely with project managers and estimators on the completion of commercial remodels and interior finish upgrades.
- Complete demolition, framing, drywall installation, and sheetrock finishing work.
- Install cabinets, doors, door hardware, restroom accessories, partitions, wood trim, and other finish carpentry components.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Interior Finish Upgrades:
- Paint walls, ceilings, and other surfaces.
- Install or repair flooring, tiles, and carpets.
- Install or repair ceilings and/or ceiling tiles.
- Drop ceiling proficiency required.
Travel:
- Be willing to travel regionally to different project sites. Travel is typically limited to daily and weekly trips.
- Overnight stays may be required but are usually limited to 2 to 4 nights per week.
- Adapt to varying work environments and building types.
Teamwork:
- Work closely with our team of assistant techs, lead technicians, and licensed technicians.
- Lead and mentor assistant techs on tasks/projects that need assistance.
- Communicate effectively and follow instructions.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to do the following with or without accommodations:
- Lift, push or pull materials weighing up to 80 lbs. (25 lbs. consistently)
- Walk, bend, twist, turn, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb and squat in cramped or awkward positions on a frequent basis.
- Climb to unlimited heights on ladders or scaffolds.
- Operate machinery that vibrates (drills, sanders, jackhammers, etc.) on a repetitive basis.
- Perform tasks that require gross and fine hand motions and coordination.
- Perform tasks that require clear and sharp vision.
