Director Of Clinical Services

Under the administrative supervision of the President/CEO, the Director of Clinical Services is responsible for serving as the lead executive, overseeing all clinical services for all levels of care. This role ensures clinical quality, fidelity to evidence-based practices, and licensing compliance. The Director of Clinical Services collaborates with the executive leadership team to integrate clinical practice in alignment with organizational goals. The Director of Clinical Services shall operate in accordance with the policies set forth by the Board of Directors and shall abide by all applicable laws and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To provide oversight, supervision, and training to all licensed clinical staff and serve as the direct oversight and support to clinical leadership in all programs.
  • Ensure adherence to ethical standards, licensure, and professional development for licensed staff and work with program clinical supervisors to support workforce development for practicum students.
  • Implement evidenced-based treatment modalities (CBT, DBT, MAT, etc.) with fidelity.
  • Approve and guide the implementation of major policy and program changes.
  • Monitor and work towards continued improvement to quality of care through oversight and development of clinical policies, procedures and documentation in accordance with state and federal treatment regulatory standards.
  • Manage and oversee clinical audit, outcome measurements, and KPI monitoring.
  • Oversee clinical admission quality and handle high-risk cases and clinical supervision.
  • Coordination of care with other departments and ensure congruence and cohesion between clinical operations and all support services throughout the organization.
  • Work closely with Director of Treatment Operations and other executive leadership to ensure congruence and cohesion across all departments in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director to ensure cohesive behavioral and physical health care.
  • Review and interpret clinical outcomes data to guide quality improvement and staff coaching.
  • Lead or support clinical preparation for KDADS audits, Medicaid reviews, SB123 audits.
  • Deliver reports and presentations to the Board of Directors, CEO, CFOO, or external stakeholders regarding treatment services.
  • Other duties as assigned by the President/CEO or other members of executive leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in an industry-related field.
  • Actively licensed by BSRB.
  • Strong business background preferred.
  • Knowledge of the behavioral industry or related field is preferred.
  • Ability to understand, interpret and analyze program evaluation data and design.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills required as well as ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must be adaptable to change and have effective organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead teams and effectively supervise the work of other independent leaders in a positive, enabling way.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze/interpret/calculate/forecast data, evaluate plans, comprehend, explain complex information and work with multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to work in collaboration with the Vice President of Clinical Services and other agency senior executives.
  • Must be able to pass required security screening.
  • Employees who have been diagnosed with any type of substance use disorder or behavioral addiction/compulsion must have sustained a minimum of two consecutive years of abstinence from all intoxicating substances and symptoms of their chemical and/or behavioral addiction; and must be in full sustained remission.
  • Must be proficient in basic computer skills.
  • Physical requirements would include but not limited to standing, walking, talking, hearing and lifting (40/50 pounds). Walking stairs may be required as well.
