A rewarding career opportunity providing supports to adults who have intellectual/developmental disabilities. Teaching, caregiving, monitoring, training, and direct care are a few of the roles. This is a positive and uplifting work environment - where you can make a difference and add to your healthcare skill set. Two full-time shifts - plus opportunities for occasional overtime. EOE Hiring immediately! Caregivers provide training, support, and monitoring in group home settings (serving multiple people).
Supports could include assisting people in:
- Monitoring their general health, mental health, vitals, blood sugar, nutrition, healing, etc.
- Maintaining living space, personal hygiene and balance in their home life & weekly schedules
- Managing their sensory needs and maintaining their own structured environment
- Participating in activities, exercise, using etiquette, improving coping skills & self esteem
- Planning & preparing meals, grocery shopping, operating household appliances, and budgeting
- Using community resources, understanding their rights, and being safety aware
- Preparing for and participating in leisure activities group gatherings, Special Olympics, sports, dances, etc.
Positions will require assisting individuals with hygiene/personal care. A comprehensive two-week, weekday, daytime orientation is provided and required (this is excellent paid training). Hiring immediately. EOE
