Customer Service Representative – Water Utilities

Lenexa, KS | $21.00 - $24.00/hour | Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST Hybrid after 90 days (Work from home 3–4 days/week)

As a CSR II, you'll be the go-to expert for resolving complex customer issues, mentoring peers, and leading process enhancements that make a real impact.

What You'll Do

• Be the first line of escalation for customer complaints and complex inquiries via phone, email, and case management.
• Process payments, reconcile cash drawers, and resolve third-party payment issues.
• Schedule and dispatch field crews for inspections, repairs, and installations.
• Maintain and enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the CSR Knowledge Base.
• Train new team members and provide support during challenging customer interactions.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify and implement improvements across tools, processes, and team performance.
• Serve as a subject matter expert across billing, dispatch, account administration, and more.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of customer service and/or dispatch experience.
• Strong written communication skills—daily email and web case correspondence required.
• CRM experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED (some college preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and business writing skills.
• Ability to work on-site full-time for the first 90 days, then transition to hybrid.
• Availability for occasional overtime during emergencies.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
