AWS Platform Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AWS Platform Engineer to join our engineering team. This role is pivotal in designing, building, and maintaining scalable infrastructure and deployment pipelines that support our cloud-native applications. You will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security across our platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, primarily with Terraform and Helm.
  • Containerization & Orchestration: Build and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Development: Architect and maintain DevOps CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, testing, and deployments.
  • System Reliability: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the high availability and reliability of our platforms.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development, security, and operations teams to streamline workflows and implement best practices.
  • Tooling & Automation: Identify and implement new tools and technologies to improve efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong expertise in AWS services (e.g., EKS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, EC2, VPC, RDS, Cloud Watch).
  • Deep knowledge of Kubernetes (AWS EKS) for container orchestration and management.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform and Helm for managing infrastructure as code.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps Pipeline, or similar.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages like Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Go.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect).
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and security best practices in the cloud.

The base salary range for this position is $92,250 - $144,964, plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies. Benefits available to eligible employees in this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, comprehensive employee assistance program, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off and holidays.
