This is court services work completing pre-sentence investigations for cases under the jurisdiction of the District Court. The work involves researching and compiling criminal histories for District Court. Attention, communication, and writing skills are essential. Must be able to obtain certifications within one year and maintain an annual certification.
Required Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in corrections, counseling, criminology, psychology, social work, sociology or closely related field.
Additional Desired Qualifications: Knowledge of interviewing techniques. Must be able to navigate computer programs. Knowledge of English usage and written communication. Ability to convey information clearly and accurately so that others can comprehend the ideas being presented. Detail and task-oriented.
