Pharmacy Continuum effectively bridges pharmacy care delivery during patient transitions from one level of care/care setting to another; ensures pharmacy-related programs across the continuum are compliant with regulatory requirements; works on increasing affordability through enhanced workflow efficiency and spread of pharmacy best practices; enhances safety of medication therapy and quality of pharmacy service across the continuum; drives innovation by embracing technology and transforming the pharmacy workforce.

Projects will ultimately be tailored to your core interests and skillsets and will be aligned with our current priorities. Projects may involve: collaborating with key stakeholders involved with various parts of the Pharmacy Continuum portfolio (e.g. Senior Care Strategy, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Palliative Care/Hospice/End of Life Options, Care at Home/Home Health, etc.) to gather, document, and analyze business requirements, processes, and workflows for new clinical programs; working closely with Pharmacy leads to develop business case(s) for new programs as required; assisting Pharmacy Leads with internal/external communications and marketing of new programs; collaborating cross-departmentally on performance improvement or joint educational initiatives. Interns will also have the opportunity to participate in projects relating to their own professional development including but not limited to: leading thought-provoking discussions on topics such as AI in healthcare, competitive analyses, and global healthcare trends; participating in networking/meet & greets with director/executive level Pharmacy/Healthcare leaders; presenting at an internship capstone along with other Pharmacy interns.
We are looking for an intern who is proactive and self-motivated, possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, values cross-departmental collaboration and innovation. Intern should be highly organized, demonstrate attention to detail with superior follow-through. Intern should proficiently utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. Having experience in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g. Sharepoint) is preferred, but not required.
This position provides analytical support to a project or department. Under the guidance of a Project Manager/ Director, responsible for collecting and researching data, performing analysis, providing recommendations and presenting results.
