People Operations Specialist

JustWatch is a data-driven marketing company for the global entertainment industry. We work with the world's largest film studios, streaming services, and game publishers. We are looking for a People Operations Specialist (m/w/d). The role includes all administrative processes in areas such as recruitment, preliminary payroll, visas, remote work, and more. The goal is to ensure that everyone at JustWatch has a great experience.

We have consciously decided against the term "HR" because it suggests that people are interchangeable resources. The team is the foundation of our success. It deserves every support to get the best out of its own abilities.

We are looking for people who like to learn, who want to understand things from the ground up and who are also able to deliver results that bring real added value to the team.

What You Will Do

  • You will take over all administrative processes in human resources and contribute to ensuring that everyone at JustWatch has an excellent employee experience.
  • You will be the contact person for all teams on issues related to employment contracts, visa processes, remote work, payroll, labor law, and similar topics.
  • You will create employment contracts, contract amendments, and terminations and ensure clean documentation and signature processes.
  • You will be responsible for the monthly payroll, communicate with external payroll accounting, health insurance companies, and authorities.
  • You will work closely with service providers for labor law, remote work (e.g., Deel), and visas, but also bring your own relevant expertise.
  • You will keep our talent management software (BambooHR) up to date, create regular reports, and ad-hoc analyses for team leads.
  • Where appropriate, you will establish scalable processes and ensure clear structures.

What We Need From You

  • A strong service mentality in dealing with colleagues and teams
  • A structured, detail-oriented, and at the same time pragmatic approach
  • An engaged personality with a high work ethic and a high standard of quality
  • An independent, positive, and proactive attitude with an overview even with many topics
  • Clear and effective communication, both verbally and in writing
  • Very good knowledge of German labor law as well as visa issues
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience, ideally in a dynamic (start-up) environment
  • Curiosity, really understanding and getting up to speed with new topics
  • Very good German and English skills in writing and speaking
