Who We Are Looking For:

Are you the Clinical Services Coordinator we have been looking for? JRI's Developing Abilities program provides opportunities for people to live in homes and apartments in their communities and to grow through job training, supported employment and day habilitation services. We provide therapeutic and social supports to enrich the lives of people with disabilities.

Salary: $22.00 per hour

What You'll Do:

  • Assist in supervising the direct support staff and daily program operations.
  • Coordinate physical, behavioral and mental health services for individuals in our care.
  • Provide formal training for staff on health care issues and participate in staff hiring, supervision and evaluation.
  • Manage the program's health care resources, equipment and supplies.
  • Coordinate licensing activities, program evaluation efforts and other quality improvement projects.
  • Provide on-call assistance and supervision to program staff after hours and on weekends.
  • Prepare and provide staff training in individual support plans documents, including assessments, goals and support strategies.
  • Plan, coordinate and schedule all physical, behavioral and mental health appointments, evaluations and lab work for individuals.
  • Facilitate communication between individuals and their health care providers and the JRI nursing and clinical staff and with their guardian, family and direct support and program staff to assure the best possible care.
  • Oversee the medication administration system for individual's served, according to the DDS and DPH regulations and JRI/DA policies and procedures.
  • Complete all documentation and reporting as required.
  • Coordinate medication ordering with individuals, providers and pharmacies.
  • Observe, document and report signs of medication related side effects.
  • Communicate and coordinate with nursing and program staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work or related field.
  • Minimum of one year's experience with developmentally disabled adults preferred.
  • MAP, CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Must have valid driver's license and ability to drive individuals in program vehicles and own vehicle if needed.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, after hours and weekends.
  • Ability to communicate well in all formats, including with people with significant cognitive disabilities; familiarity with DDS regulations and with physical, behavioral and mental health issues for people with developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to work independently without a supervisor or other colleagues present.
