Senior Technician - Guest Services

Jumeirah Beach Hotel is Jumeirah's founding property, characterised by its wave-like design, set along one of Dubai's most exclusive shorelines. The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

• Attend breakdowns, diagnose faults and collaborate with Technicians to ensure timely maintenance, repairs, painting, or refurbishments with minimal downtime.
• Respond to work orders, conduct room/site inspections, report damages and purpose resolutions to team leaders while seeking guidance for issues outside direct responsibilities.
• Estimate job completion times and communicate potential consequences of delays ensuring work is completed within required timelines.
• Report equipment faults, breakdown root causes and safety concerns to management, escalating critical issues promptly.
• Handle inquiries courteously and professionally, providing accurate information and resolving complaints efficiently.
• Perform all tasks to a high-quality standard, maintaining meticulous records of planned maintenance and training documentation.
• Ensure compliance with store requisition and purchase request procedures, contributing to cost-effective operations.
• Assist in optimizing utility costs by ensuring equipment operates at peak efficiency and comfort levels.
• Execute work orders, planned preventive maintenance (PPM), and corrective work actions (CWA), conducting quality assurance checks on Technician and General Assistant work.
• Maintain safe working conditions, promptly addressing any safety issues and adhere to departmental policies, procedures and environmental regulations.

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or any other relevant field is desirable.
• Experienced in computer-based planned preventative systems.
• Knowledge of high-rise building systems/resorts.
• Knowledge of Work Order System.
• Expertise Knowledge in relevant fields (Carpenter, Mason, Electrician, Plumber, Painter, Refrigeration, Mechanical, etc).
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in hospitality or related industries.
• Experience working in a multi-cultural environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions, problem solving and follow-up abilities.
• Proficiency in English.
