Kitchen & Laundry Lead Technician – Engineering

An opportunity has arisen for Kitchen & Laundry Lead Technician – Engineering to join Jumeirah Jabal Omar.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

• Lead and supervise the maintenance team responsible for kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Perform daily monitoring and inspection of all kitchen equipment in restaurants and back-of-house areas.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for hot and cold kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, grills, refrigerators, freezers, and cold rooms.
• Troubleshoot and repair laundry equipment including washers, dryers, and steam-operated systems.
• Perform PCB board troubleshooting and basic electronic repairs for kitchen equipment control systems.
• Ensure weekly grease trap cleaning is completed and properly recorded.
• Follow up on kitchen exhaust duct cleaning schedules to maintain hygiene and fire safety compliance.
• Maintain all maintenance records, checklists, and documentation related to kitchen equipment.

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Minimum 3–4 years' experience in hotel engineering operations, preferably in kitchen and laundry equipment maintenance.
• Supervisory experience is required with the ability to lead and support a team of technicians.
• Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Good knowledge of commercial kitchen and laundry equipment troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
• Familiar with HACCP standards, safety procedures, and basic maintenance documentation.
