Junior Contract Support Specialist

JST is currently seeking a Junior Contract Support Specialist. The Junior Contract Support Specialist will assist the VA's Contracting Offices with acquisition and contract administration activities under the guidance of senior staff. This role provides vital support for acquisition documentation preparation, market research, and post-award contract management in compliance with FAR, VAAR, and VHA acquisition policies. Jr. Contract Support Specialist Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing pre-solicitation and solicitation documentation.
• Support the preparation of award documents and post-award administrative tasks.
• Conduct basic market research and assist in developing PWS documents.
• Provide administrative support for acquisition strategy planning, file documentation, and data collection.
• Assist with cost and price analysis efforts under senior staff direction.
• Help maintain contract files in eCMS and related systems.
• Support contract closeout activities.
• Participate in training and team meetings as required.

Jr. Contract Support Specialist Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with at least 24 semester hours in any combination of: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.
• Minimum 2 years of Federal contracting experience.
• Familiarity with FAR, VAAR, and related acquisition policies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with or ability to learn government acquisition systems (eCMS, FPDS, SAM, GSA eBuy).
• Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) Level I (Recommended)
• DAWIA Contracting Certification (Level I) (Recommended)

Required Clearances and Screenings

• Public Trust or ability to obtain, per VA requirements
• MUST be able to successfully pass a drug screen and background check
