Predictive Science Job
The PXT Data Strategy Operations Lead will drive cross-functional coordination across Finance, Operations, and Technology to turn our data strategy into execution. This includes driving progress on both analytics/reporting use cases and foundational data-access/connectivity use cases. You will manage intake, maintain clear worklists and dependencies for connectivity and federated data build-outs, and produce executive-ready views that stay current. You'll align our firmwide data target state with where we are today and partner with data owners to define and execute the path forward. Coding is not required; strong systems understanding and program leadership are.
Job responsibilities include:
- Coordinate Finance, Operations, and Technology teams to remove blockers and drive measurable progress on prioritized data and analytics use cases.
- Run working cadences; track actions, owners, and dates; and escalate risks and dependencies early to sustain disciplined execution.
- Manage a unified portfolio spanning analytics/reporting and data-access/connectivity use cases; define scope, milestones, entry/exit criteria, and success metrics; maintain RAG status and deliverables.
- Maintain a detailed connectivity and federated delivery tracker (source access, approvals, data contracts, privacy/security controls, lineage, SLAs) and sequence tasks on the critical path.
- Ensure clear and timely handoffs across teams by identifying dependencies and sequencing work.
- Build and continuously update concise executive views (roadmap, OKRs, value realization, RAG status, risks/issues, decisions required).
- Create clear narratives and artifacts for leadership reviews; ensure data and status are refreshed ahead of meetings.
- Operate a simple, transparent intake process for all data-related requests; log, deduplicate, categorize, prioritize; maintain a visible backlog.
- Establish triage SLAs, coordinate discovery with requestors, and route work to the right teams.
- Map current state to the target state; identify capability gaps and define pragmatic sequencing to close them; partner with data owners and architects on standards and patterns for federated delivery.
- Tie use cases to business outcomes and track benefits (revenue, cost, risk reduction); ensure privacy, security, and data access controls are designed in; partner with risk/compliance/security.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills include:
- Minimum of 8 years leading cross-functional programs in data, analytics, or technology environments.
- Strong systems understanding of how data moves from sources through pipelines to platforms and products; familiarity with federated data patterns, catalogs/lineage, access controls, and SLAs.
- Proven experience managing intake and large backlogs; prioritizing with frameworks (e.g., value vs effort); and running disciplined execution.
- Exceptional executive communication skills; able to translate complex technical work into clear, decision-oriented updates.
- Proficiency with program tools for tracking work, risks, and status reporting; advanced proficiency building executive-ready materials.
- Collaborative leadership with strong stakeholder management; able to influence without direct authority.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills include:
- Experience coordinating across Finance, Operations, and Technology in a complex organization.
- Familiarity with data privacy and security practices; experience aligning with internal risk/compliance requirements.
- Comfort reviewing architectural diagrams and solution proposals; no coding required.
