Control Management Associate

This is an opportunity to support the end-to-end governance and control framework across business lines, functions and locations. The role will involve identification, design, delivery and project management of process improvement and control related initiatives.

As an Associate within our Control Management team, you will play a key role in hereby providing support on the effective operation of the governance framework, evaluating and reporting on the internal control framework, prepare and follow up on related governance meetings and audits, and take ownership of dedicated processes. You will assist the team in key governance secretariat responsibilities for main control governance committees, run by the Location Control Managers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate collection of submissions from lines of business and functional groups across Europe; compile high quality committee materials and ensure timely delivery for Location Control Manager review.
  • Document governance meeting minutes and compile related debriefs.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and drive positive change.
  • Partner with the broader Control Management team to support an effective governance and control framework in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
  • Provide project management support for Location Control Management initiatives, including meeting set-up, tracking, and chairing project working groups as needed.
  • Support Location Control Management in executing control initiatives, evaluate and perform analysis of the business' risk and control environment and strengthening team resiliency.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining data processing and automation solutions for reporting and workflow efficiency, including enhancements to existing SharePoint tools.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Relevant experience in the financial services industry in controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, or compliance.
  • Strong personality and team player able to partner closely with peers in the broader Control Management team.
  • Self-starter with high energy and ownership mindset; consistently drives initiatives to completion.
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills; manages multiple workstreams with strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Curiosity and investigative mindset; able to assess issues at both macro and micro levels and translate insights across the business.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process re-engineering capabilities; exercises sound judgment, maturity, and poise in identifying risks and escalating when appropriate.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Advanced experience in process optimization; proficiency with modern analytics and automation tools.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred.
  • Familiarity with data analytics or workflow tools (such as Tableau or Alteryx).
  • Strong stakeholder communication and influencing skills, with confidence engaging at multiple levels.
