The Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) Treasury Technology group has been created to build an enterprise analytics, tools, and data platform to help CIB Markets Trading and other businesses efficiently manage their capital, liquidity, and funding (P&L), and to facilitate efficient financial resource management. It supports the strategic agenda of our franchise through a coordinated approach to pricing and management of financial resources.

Job Responsibilities
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting, with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Develops secure, high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and adoption of new and leading-edge technologies

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
- Proficient in coding in Java or Python
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Overall knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
- Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
- Exposure to cloud technologies.
- Knowledge and interest in the financial industry.
- Strong understanding of Treasury functions and concepts like balance sheet, liquidity, and regulatory capital is a plus.
- Understanding of Data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake is a plus.
