Integration Specialist
JPI has an exciting opportunity for an Integration Specialist to join our Design for Execution team located in Dallas, TX. The Integration Specialist is responsible for executing design integration tasks at the project level. This role focuses on document control, milestone tracking, issue logging, and day-to-day coordination support. Tracks deliverables, validates compliance with design standards, updates dashboards, and coordinates the workflows between design, development, and construction. The position will report to the Integration Lead.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Validation of Design & Establishing Design Requirements
- Support design validation efforts by reviewing drawings, checklists, and requirements matrices to identify gaps, inconsistencies, or deviations.
- Assist with documenting design review findings, ensuring they are tracked and communicated to internal teams and consultants.
- Maintain updated records of consultant onboarding status and deliverable checklists to help track progress against plan.
- Document and follow up on action items related to design validation reviews, RFIs, and cross-functional input sessions.
Drawing Phasing & Design Milestones
- Track receipt and status of drawing packages according to established milestone dates and deliverable phasing logic.
- Update internal tools with current information on drawing progress, versioning, and consultant inputs.
- File and organize design documents, ensuring correct version control and consistent distribution to relevant parties.
- Identify and flag missing or late deliverables to the Lead to support schedule adherence and proper sequencing.
- Participate in drawing review working sessions and assist in documenting technical decisions and coordination outcomes.
Owner Support
- Assist in logging and managing change requests, drawing revisions, and submittal updates related to owner-directed changes.
- Support documentation handoff tasks by formatting, packaging, and distributing final drawing sets and associated logs.
- Help track field-driven revisions and maintain a consistent log of changes affecting design acceptance or budget alignment.
- Provide administrative and coordination support for jurisdictional items such as address registration, permit tracking, and agency coordination.
- Attend construction and coordination meetings as needed to provide document support and track integration-related action items.
Education, Work Experience, & Physical Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of Experience including 2 of the following areas: development, design management and construction, preferably in the multifamily industry.
- Excel, Bluebeam, and Procore.
- Knowledge of project phasing, execution risks, and owner-driven design changes.
- Ability to manage multiple teams and projects while ensuring quality and consistency.
- Experience with processes for design validation and documentation workflows.
- Act as a representative and advocate of JPI's culture and guiding principles
