Outside Sales Team Member

Bring on the fruit and veg! As an Outside Sales Team Member, your hunger for sales will be driven within the territory from Boston, MA down to Richmond, VA, selling some of the most interesting, exciting, and fun specialty produce to retailers, foodservice distributors, and wholesalers (perishable agricultural commodities and non-perishable target audiences). We are looking for a hunter within the B2B space.

This role requires being within a commutable distance to Philadelphia, as the role involves both in-office time and on the road travel.

About the Job

What does an Outside Sales Team Member do? Your primary focus will be getting the attention of and speaking with prospective customers via cold calling, face-to-face interactions, site visits, etc. while maintaining relationships with current clients. This person will be the face of JVI, pitching and closing sales. Key parts of the role are planning for customers' needs along with providing product availability and pricing.

The Outside Sales Team Member will ensure accuracy of customers' orders, follow up on them, and keep tabs of their shipping and delivery times. They will also upsell produce to current customers.

  • Networking: You'll generate sales via trade shows, trainings, and other channels with potential customers in the territory markets.
