Electrical Co-op
The Electrical Co-op is responsible for setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment while following safety rules and regulations. Work must be done in a safe and efficient manner and comply with all Stackpole International's Health & Safety policies, procedures, and quality systems.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
- Install, replace, and repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, and other electrical components
- Maintain cleanliness of maintenance shop
- Keep inventory of parts necessary to perform
- Ensure that the requirements of the Quality Management System and Environmental Health & Safety System are met
- Other duties as required
Qualifications, Education, And/Or Experience
- Enrolled in Post-Secondary education in a technical field
- Knowledge and some previous experience with respect to Mechanical Assembly, Machine Repair, Electrical Systems, Hydraulic Systems, Pneumatic Systems, PLC and CNC based control and logic systems
- Welding and basic machining skills are a definite asset
- Experience in the automotive industry is an asset, however not required
Work Environment (Including Physical Demands)
- Exposure to noise, heights, confined spaces, poor lighting conditions, material, products, and by-products associated with the manufacturing of powered metal components, exposure to metal working fluids, temperatures, and weather extremes that require the use of specialized protective devices, clothing, or equipment
- Required to climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolding to access elevations, able to crouch for periods of time, push, pull, lift, and turn while carrying tools, material, and equipment in various parts of the facility. Excessive walking. Operate material handling equipment including cranes, lift trucks, chain hoists, etc.
